Traveling, A History

I suppose the whole point of a blog is to frequently blog, correct? I guess I should get down to business. Here's a brief history of my traveling experience...

Long ago, in a house not far from mine, I was sitting on a pea-green couch watching Oprah. The Harry Potter kids walked on stage, and little seven year-old me was simply floored that their British accents were real...I literally thought that they were faking it. And somehow, out of that, my love of England and travel was born.

When I was fourteen, my parents and I visited London for a week. I was fangirling the WHOLE time. It was quite the travesty when we had to return home. When I was sixteen, I got the incredible opportunity to spend a month in Spain. Previously, I had no real interest in Spain, but MAN do I miss it now. I fully intend to travel back there in the fall. Here are some of the highlights from both trips, and apologies for the crappy photo qualities...I was sixteen, remember?

London
Look at dat HP lovin'

Tower of London--a British staple

Trafalgar Square--yet another staple
As touristy as it is, go on one of these bus tours. Best way to get acquainted with the city.
Cheers! Walking the streets on Christmas day
Visiting Christ Church in Oxford...God, please just go. Wonderful day trip.
 Fangirl' HP style

Shakespeare's home.

SPAIN (a little more extensive)
The streets in Madrid are both gorgeous and slightly slanted.
All I'm saying is you can't go to Spain without going to Toledo. That's all.
 I was in love
 Jerez de la Frontera
On a rooftop in Cadiz. Absolutely stunning.
Pamplona, two weeks after El Encierro de Toros
 C'mon..how cool is that?!?!!
My beautiful host sister. I am blessed to say that we still keep in touch, and I hope to visit her this October.

Well, that at least provides some context as to my foreign travels. I just recently spent a few days in Canada, so I'll recap that soon. Until then, happy Monday!
